Though she technically sprouted in Dublin, Mocha’s roots took hold in the lush, green mountains of Colombia, right beside me. From early on, Mocha stood out. She had the heart of a caregiver, the brain of a scientist, and the stubborn will of a dark roast left on the burner too long.
While I was off chasing the dream in Boston, slinging beans and exploring opportunities, I kept writing home about this electric city. I told her about the café culture, the bustling bean scene, and the chance to do something that would really shake the filter. It didn’t take long before she made the leap.

Mocha arrived in Boston and wasted no time. She dove headfirst into nursing school, balancing 16-hour study days with part-time shifts at the local espresso bar. But, of course, Mocha being Mocha, she wasn’t satisfied just healing the tired; she wanted to energize the world.

That’s exactly what she did with her invention: the CIDS, Caffeine Infusion Delivery System—or as I like to call it, Mocha Magic. This innovative system revolutionized how caffeine is delivered to patients, ensuring they receive just the right amount to boost their spirits and energy levels.
